Cabochons

Cabs are my specialty. I cut many varieties, from rough stones I have acquired over many years. A lot of the material is from mines which are long gone. Many types of American agates and jaspers. Turquoise from America, Mexico, and China. Sugilite from Namibia, Africa. Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan. Opals of all types, most from my favorite locality, Australia, but also Ethiopia and Mexico. I specialize in super grade fire agates from Several localities in Mexico and the USA. Gem silica chryscolla from Arizona and Mexico is a favorite. Feldspar varieties such as various colors of moonstone. I especially like varieties with optical effects such as cats eyes and stars, adularescence, opalescence, and color change stones.
